This is an adult-level course. Children 14 -17 years or older may attend if accompanied by an adult also attending. Tne Fee is: $50 for adults and $35 for children. Advanced registration is suggested

Boating Courses are conducted by trained Instructors from Flotilla 01-04. Some of the advantages of taking our Boating Courses:We teach the most up-to-date version of the "About Boating Safely". This is the most popular short Course being offered today. It is approved by The National Association of State Boating Law Administrators (NASBLA) and meets all current Federal and State requirements for powerboat and jet-ski (PWC) operation.Those successfully completing this Course receive a Certificate of Completion plus a Wallet Card (required to be in the possession of all jet-ski operators regardless of age). In addition they receive the Course Book plus a CD Disk for future reference. Our Flotilla teaches over a dozen separate Courses at varying locations from Amityville to Babylon. Our Adult Courses are completed in ONE eight hour session, usually on Saturdays. |
| We also offer two Courses specifically structured for Youthful Boat
Operators
between the ages of 10 to 17 for power boat operators, and 14 to 17 for
jet-ski operators. These courses are multi-sessioned over six to eight evenings.
All major insurance companies offer premium discounts for operators who have
successfully completed this Course. Our Instructors are highly qualified, experienced boaters, all of whom hold Coast Guard qualifications and/or Merchant Marine Licenses. Our Courses cover basic boating skills and essential safety information that will make your boating experiences safer and more satisfying. |

YOUNG BOATERS COURSES
For children 10 thru 17 years of age. Each course runs a total of 4 evenings. Cost is $35 and $20 for each additional sibling - Advance Registration recommended but is not required. Children who complete this course successfully must be accompanied by a Certified Adult Operator until they reach the minimum age for operation alone. | |
